The last two weeks saw the top two teams battling it out, both on home ground for Meopham H. The first match saw Meopham H playing Chris Brett, Arie Van Der Leer and Joe Baker, with Culverstone playing Mark Foxwell, Chris Simms and Jane Hyde. In the first match Culverstone A took a good lead of 5-3, but the final singles match between Arie Van Der Leer and Chris Simms was extremely close with Arie taking it in the fifth. Meopham H also won the doubles, taking the match to the first draw of the season in division two.
The second match between the two saw Meopham playing their strongest team of Brian Bauckham, Chris Brett and Arie Van Der Leer, with Culverstone playing their usual team of Chris Simms, Mark Foxwell, and Jane Hyde. The first match saw Chris Simms taking on Brian Bauckham, with Chris winning in four sets and breaking Brian's 100% record. Another first was Mark Foxwell beating Arie Van Der Leer as all previous meetings between the two have gone in Arie's favour. Brian Bauckham came back from two sets down to beat Mark Foxwell and ensuring Meopham's victory, despite Culverstone taking the doubles. The final score was 6-4 to Meopham H, giving Culverstone A their first defeat of the season.
